Breakfast: bowl of cinnamon streusal shredded wheat with skim milk.
Snack: 3 Pringles, some apple quarters with peanut butter, and one tortilla chip, a bite of ice cream
Lunch: watermelon/plum salad (plain, just the fruit), salad (lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, peanuts, sunflower seeds, raisins, tomatoes, carrots, ranch Spritzer dressing), slice of banana bread.
Snack: snitches of zucchini cake batter and snitches of cream cheese frosting (my weakness). Bite of a zucchini brownie.
Dinner: salad, an attempted bite at a very gross eggplant/mozzarella/tomato thing (I think I added waaaay too much vinegar and oil), a few bites at overcooked corn on the cob (yea, I failed in the kitchen at dinnertime!).
Snack: piece of zucchini cake and a couple of bites of ice cream.

August 25 food and exercise
Ok, I am starting this post in the afternoon, instead of in the morning and adding to it each time something happens, so I hope I can remember everything.

A few ranch Pringles (YUM. I really love Pringles).
Lunch: crispy taco, salad, and strawberry yogurt. A couple of tortilla chips and a couple more Pringles.

Dinner: spaghetti.
Exercise: 20 minutes (plus warm-up and cool-down) of weights. Stretches and a few exercises on the ball.

Dinner: asiago fettuccine. And I'm ashamed to say I had a few cookies too. Time to exercise...

August 18 food and exercise
Breakfast: bowl of homemade granola with a few slices of banana on top, with skim milk.
Snack: 1 Life-Saver gummy that my son shared with me.
Exercise: 20-minute workout with weights, as well as stretches.
Snack: a few gummy bears, two string cheeses, and pretzels
Lunch: fiesta rice tortilla and vanilla yogurt
Snack: slice of berry bread, 2 Skittles
Exercise: 50 minutes, 502 calories, 1 mile on elliptical. I have no idea what my resistance was, because the elliptical has been going screwy the last couple of days. I usually warm up at level 1 or 2, and that's always a piece of cake, just slightly more resistance than walking around on the ground. However, lately, resistance 1 feels like resistance 15, and the machine only goes up to 10! So I worked up to resistance 8, but I have no idea if that is accurate or not. All I know is, I was sweating like a pig during my warm-up and it just got worse after that. So maybe the calorie count is off too. Who knows. Hopefully it's off in my favor. Stretches and exercise ball exercises
Snack: 2 gummy bears
Dinner: corn on the cob and asiago chicken fettuccine.
Snack: a few chocolate chips and some bites of mint sundae brownie, and popcorn. Yea.
Exercise: house-cleaning (including mopping the 6 moppable floors by hand, as my mop is retarded)

August 18 List
I will add to this list as I eat today. That way I am only spending 1 or 2 minutes at a time on my computer and R can't get into too much trouble in that amount of time!
Breakfast (yes, Kirsten, I actually ate breakfast before 3 PM today!!): A medium sized bowl of Cheerios. What?!?! No Cream of Wheat??, I was to lazy to make it and wait the 2 minutes for it to microwave.
I also snitched about three Fruit Loops from R's highchair.
Lunch: 2 pieces bread spread with bruschetta, 3 slices turkey and one slice cheese. Split in half, down the center.
Snack: Some handfuls of Runts out of my candy machine while teaching. I needed sugar.
Dinner: Lauren's Chicken and mashed potatoes

AUGUST? 17
Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted. No wonder I've gained weight!
Well, I am attempting to recover from my 3 week vacation. During that vacation I had 2 wedding receptions, 3 birthday parties, and a whole lot of bad food. I gained about 7 pounds. This always happens to me. I get down almsot to the next weight decade (I was at 170 before this one) and then I go on vacation and shoot back up again. I am hoping to break that barrier this time, since I don't have another vacation coming up until December. I am getting so sick of this decade. I've been here way too long.
I tried to starve myself this week as much as possible. It obviously didn't work cuz I was a pound heavier when I got on the scale this morning. Of course, that could have something to do with the fact that we have made both brownies and cookies the past 2 days, and I had more than my fair share of them. My problem is, I was too lazy (or busy, one of those) to make real food, so I'd eat a brownie here or there to give me enough energy to keep going about my day. So even though I hardly ate anything, the items I did eat were very high in calories. So I guess I need to rethink my strategy.
I am going to try and post more often. I need you all to hold me accountable, because obviously I have a complete lack of self-discipline!!
Here's to a (hopefully) better week of healthy food.
